Get started with dbt Canvas workshop
🌐 Global friendly sessions on September 3 and 4
📍 Live virtual workshop
Whether you’re new to dbt or looking for a simpler, more intuitive way to create models, this hands-on workshop will give you the practical skills you need to work confidently in dbt Canvas, dbt’s low-code model development interface. You’ll learn how to build, edit, and understand data models without writing SQL from scratch—dbt Canvas takes care of that part for you!
In just two hours, you’ll create new models, enhance existing ones, and explore visual model lineage to see each transformation step. You’ll work with every dbt Canvas operator, compare them to the SQL they generate, and build intuition for how dbt compiles behind the scenes. You’ll also learn the basics of version control, committing changes, and creating pull requests so you can collaborate with confidence and transparency.
Led by an instructor and accompanied by a technical assistant who answers your questions in real-time, this workshop is designed for data professionals of all backgrounds, including those with minimal or no prior experience with SQL or Git.
