About the session

This session we'll be splitting it into two parts.

Part 1 (1:00-3:30PM)

The first part of the session you'll be building your first dbt Cloud model.

The workshop will cover the following:

• dbt setup: Get started with dbt Cloud by initialising your project and setting up the files and folder structure to reference raw data.
• Transformation: Use the dbt Cloud IDE to transform your data. With the Cloud IDE, you can compile dbt code into SQL and run it against your database directly.
• Consistency: Use dbt Semantic layer, you can define metrics alongside your dbt models, and query them from any integrated analytics tool.

Part 2 (3:30PM - 4:30PM)

The second partner of the session we'll be going through the key announcements that was made our our annual conference - Coalesce.
