Get hands-on training on how you can standardize your projects on the new, more powerful engine that brings richer capabilities for modern development workflows. Enjoy SQL comprehension, column-level lineage, and instant feedback while you work, as well as a more capable foundation for AI-assisted development. In this session, you’ll follow a guided conformance workflow to improve structure, naming, configurations, documentation, and testing—ending with a repeatable checklist you can apply to your own projects to get them ready for dbt v2.

After this lab, you will be able to:

• Identify common project anti-patterns that slow teams down as they scale
• Apply a structured conformance workflow to standardize conventions and reduce friction
• Leave with a conformance checklist your team can adopt for ongoing governance

• dbt Fundamentals

What to bring: You must bring your own laptop to complete the exercises. We will provide all other sandbox environments for dbt and a data platform.
