From cost center to profit center: how Mitratech built a data platform on dbt
Mitratech's original DataShare solution was built for one product, heavily customized, and impossible to scale. When the need arose to extend data sharing across a broader product portfolio, a complete rearchitecture was the only answer.
This session covers how Mitratech rebuilt DataShare as a standardized, generalized framework that any product in the platform can adopt with minimal engineering effort. Product teams onboard without custom work. Clients get immediate, flexible data access through BI tools of their choice or via Snowflake-to-Snowflake sharing. And the data engineering team is freed from repetitive bespoke builds.
We'll walk through the phased approach: refactoring the original framework, validating with a lead product, scaling across additional products. Leave with a reusable model for consistent, reliable data sharing across a multi-product ecosystem.
