Accelerating dbt with dbt v2

Get hands-on with the next-generation dbt engine powered by dbt v2. In this lab, you’ll work through several realistic analytics engineering problems  to experience how dbt v2 changes development ergonomics and performance, and how state-aware orchestration improves job efficiency.

After this lab, you will be able to: 

• Describe what dbt v2 changes (and what stays the same) in day-to-day dbt development
• Solve analytics engineering problems  in a dbt v2-enabled environment and interpret results
• Predict how changes in your model code and source data will influence state-aware orchestration runs.

Prerequisites:

• dbt Fundamentals

What to bring: 

• You must bring your own laptop to complete the hands-on exercises. We will provide any required sandbox environments for dbt and the data platform.
