Yuna Tang is a Senior Analytics Engineer at SafetyCulture with a background that started far from the data stack. She spent her early career in finance—first as a Commercial Finance Manager, then as a Portfolio Analyst—before making the leap into analytics engineering at AMP Capital. That pivot turned out to be a natural fit: she's been in the data world ever since, and has spent the last three years at SafetyCulture turning messy pipelines into models people actually trust. She's a firm believer that understanding the business behind the data makes you a better engineer—and that getting the right engineer and analyst structure in place is just as important as the models themselves when it comes to building a successful dbt project.
