AI-powered data development: How agentic SDLC & dbt-MCP transformed our data engineering workflow

At Zendesk, moving a dbt model between data layers used to require significant manual effort and take hours. Slow model promotion caused teams to build duplicate logic, delayed time to business value, and created reconciliation challenges. We used Agentic SDLC and dbt-MCP to improve this process and significantly increase the productivity of our data engineering team. We will share the process, tools, and lessons learned along the way.
