Accelerating data teams with dbt Labs and Snowflake

About the workshop

Modern businesses need modern data strategies built on platforms that support agility, growth, and operational efficiency. Using dbt Cloud with Snowflake, data teams can quickly and collaboratively deploy analytics code following software engineering best practices like modularity, portability, CI/CD, and documentation.

In this bootcamp, you’ll learn about how Snowpark for Python is enabling data teams to simplify their data stack and get more done with less – you can now run Python code directly in Snowflake, without many of the pains often associated with Python development. We’ll then get stuck into a hands-on lab where you’ll create data transformation pipelines using dbt Cloud, Snowflake SQL, and Snowpark. To make it fun, we’ll be using F1 data. We’ll show you the analytics engineering way to use SQL versus Python for data transformations, apply data quality tests, document, and deploy to get you ready for ML workflows.
