Data dream teams: Netlify

Brian is a software engineer turned data engineer. He fell into Big Data as an accident in 2014 and hasn’t looked back since. He spent his data engineer early years traveling as a Big Data Consultant helping all sorts of companies adopt various data warehouses and data lakes in the cloud. Brian is passionate about all things data, distributed computing, automation, and using technology to change the world for the better.

Emilie has spent her career scaling data and analytics functions while being responsive to the hypergrowth of the business. She is a contributor to many open source projects including dbt, Meltano, and GitLab. When not at her day job, Emilie can be found in her local CrossFit box or volunteering with Operation Code, codebar, TechSAV, or MilSpouse Coders.

Francisco is a software engineer interested in data and analytics. He uses his engineering background at Netlify to help and enable users to drive their decisions based on data. Outside of work, Fracisco loves to read about many different topics such as science, philosophy, history, or finance.

Laurie started a web development company in high school, and have spent the last 23 years in tech. The first 15 years of his career were mostly as an individual contributor, building sites at every level from front-end and down to the level of DBA and systems administration. He then spent 10 years running two startups that he co-founded, as CTO, COO, and CDO (Chief Data Officer).
